Woppum
I bought this today on x-box but I seem to have mixed feelings about it. As a fan of pro evo 4 I am slightly disappointed to see they have changed the format. Fowls are now ten a penny, you cant seem to make a tackle without knocking the opposing player over. Also dribbling is not so hot. In the 4th you could wiggle around the whole team and score, now it doesnt seem like you can. Has anyone else had a go? What do you think? Are there any tricks? Woppum
Not a game for when you get back from the pub then ! Halo2 on live is still my ultimate. Very hard to beat as an addictive game.

Woppum
As I am currently sharing a house with 2 other blokes, gaming is quite high on our agenda, that and not cleaning the kitchen! I find Flash wipes the best but they seem to just use their shirt!
Woppum
Well I am getting better at it now, but there are so many moves to master, and unless you can do them you have no chance against the computer. I had a terrible defeat to Saudi... and I was France!!! I seem to beat most people I play against on 2 player though, but that is really because they are used to Pro Evo 4. I thought this game would be more popular on here, I never liked football really but I can get quite in to these games. I even know what offside means!!! And the daylight rule, and I can just about even watch a match... I do have to have a few buds though! I support Chelsea Now , which does piss my mates off as they support Arsenal! Si_GTi
I'm thinking about renting this in a fortnight or so to see if it's any good. I don't own a football game for my PS2 at the moment, and at Uni when I had a PS1 the game to have was FIFA Football, I lost many a good hour with my housemates in front of the TV playing that! I understand that Pro Evo is the better of the two games these days? I've never ever played Pro Evo so it will be interesting to see how I get on with it in a couple of weeks... Smudge
I had a play over the weekend at my brother in laws. The graphics on the PS2 were better than my Fifa 2005, but the lack of team names was poor (although I appreciate this doesn't effect the game) and I felt the dribbling with the ball was rather annoying, esp when closing in on goal. My BiL gave me his copy of Pro Evo 4 to have a play with, which I'm sure I will do at some point this week, but I felt over all, Fifa 2005 was just slightly better, if you can deal with the weaker graphics. BURTON
I am glad that I have not bought this. Can understand what people have said about tackling etc. But don't see alot of change. New teams are good names and up todate etc.
neo283
The Pro Evo series has always been my preferred choice above FIFA, although FIFA 2005 did look pretty hot when I saw it at my mates a while ago. I always counted FIFA as the one to go for if you like the real names and commentary, where as Pro Evo was for those after a more authentic experience. Haven't played P.E 5 yet though, number 4 is still enough for me at the moment!
cheechy
I'm had PES5 a few days now and have been using the new online 'experience' My thoughts - tackling is now annoying as its far too easy to give away fouls and it breaks up the game. Dribbling is actually better and you seem to be able to get past people much easier than pes4 if you have the correct player with pace and skill. I've scored a few peaches with the likes of Robben, Duff and Cole with Chelsea.... I'm beginning to get into a bit more now but I think its just the same with every version that comes out each year. You get used to the differences and get on with it. If anyone is interested my tag is 1A on pesonline on the PS2.
