pingpongpo
Spelling lessons? I would think a simple chipping procedure would gives best bhp for £
activa
[ QUOTE ] Spelling lessons? [/ QUOTE ] Seriously though, those plug-in tuning boxes seem to be going for around 100 quid on Ebay, maybe a good place to start as a remap is a lot more expensive. eatmysmoke
I'm actually the mate, its gor 105k miles on it. what do you's think with a car with this mileage, don't want to wreck my engine or anything. how much hp more will a tuning box give. thanx
R32North
Tuning box will give about 20hp according to the adds, but all they do is mess with the signals going to the ECU, so its a bit risky in my book.! You really want a true signal going to the ECU not one thats been tampered with en-route!
jimmyp
Well if you going to spend a £100 or so you might aswell spend some more and get a decent remap done, not only will it increase the bhp but it will improve the driveability of the car and give you alot more mid range torque. Your best bet is to talk to some specialists like AMD or your nearest REVO dealer and ask them about performance figures etc. Best of luck
R32North
Also, ask their advice on remapping a car with higher mileage as they will have lots of experience and know how 'much' is right for cars with over 100k on the clock.
