Huss
I tried to put a magnetic GB plate on the bootlid this morning but the thing kept falling off. I can only assume the boot is made of Aluminium? Am I the ONLY one who didn't know this

DHA
I thought they were made form a different material to the rest of the car. I recall someone having a rear-end crash when the cabs first came out and it was going to take a while to get the boot replaced as there weren't many spares available. I seem to be thinking some form of plastic but I am probably wrong.
richy_uk
I seem to recall it's plastic as the aerials for the radio and sat nav are in the bootlid.
Ari
It is composite, so that (as Richy correctly says) it can house radio antenna etc.

The cretins at the bodyshop only got through 5 boot lids while replacing it. The boot lid is as has been pointed out fibreglass.
