Weedle
Hey there guys ive been feeling a bit of a funny veer / feeling in my steering / braking ive had a tyre specialist have a look but he says everything is alright and maybe the fact i have two different brands of tyre on the front is this a problem on vws ??? also i think i need to change my brakes pads and discs is it worth going for vented/grooved/big brakes or just stock any advice will be greatly appreciated
R32North
Two brands of tyre on the same axle is a no no for a start! Also, get new std diska dn a good set of pads. May be add some lowering springs in to the mix to help with stability. What are you rear tyres like, more tread than the front? If so, and both same tyre, the pop them on the front and see if that makes any difference.
Weedle
Cheers for that - i ll go for the standard disks and pads then - i dont have any alloys - YET! i just want a good ride to begin with then ill start modding everything up Can you advise the best way to get a power boost on a budget i drive the crappy 75bhp version and was wondering how easy it would be to add between 15-25 bhp cheers

From a Polo 1.4. 75hp engine you'll need some serious mods to get that, ie Cams, carbs, exhsust, etc..... or turbo conversion! Plus that kind of power hike would mean better brakes, ie biiger, grooved, disks all round, etc and you insurance company would want to know. Best to make it look good! Ritey
Easier option is to sell it and buy the 100bhp version Gonna be cheaper on the insurance in the long run without the need to mod
Weedle
Hmm maybe the best idea will be the styling mods rather than the power mods !! does anyone know of any cheap lexus style lights for the facelift model ???
