NewNiceMrMe
As the question says, when do you expect to change your car? If you have more than one (be it wifes, partners, a daily runner, etc) then base your answer on your MAIN vehicle. THEN....tell us what you THINK you'll be looking at when you do. scooby_simon
Having done some research, not soon. I can get more fun buying a new (silly) boat than I can in a new car - still would like a type 25 and an Atom. But it's not going to happen unless Ernie is smiling on me.... R32North
Really want to but a FQ 320 or S4, but I think, due to having more than one requirement, I'll opt for a 2.5 V6 Tdi Quattro, either A4 or A6. I need to buy a new house so I'm going to limit myself to one car for the next year or so, and it need to be good at towing, taking the family, swallowing 3 bikes / people, good on fuel and still look nice! P_G
Promised everyone I would change after 4 years of ownership and have nearly one year under my belt, but it all depends when B7 RS4's become affordable (to me anyway). I'm guestimating another three years which would tally well.

NewNiceMrMe
It's interesting to note that (so far) almost a third of TSN-ers (at least regulars lets say) expect to change within the next 12 months. Eight of them within six months too - so this should make for lots of interesting choice discussions.
richy_uk
I'll probably order a Boxster S when mine reaches 2 years old. Depending on how long it takes to come through, should have gone past the initial depreciation hit. Obvioulsy all changes if I win the lottery between now and then. Durrsaku
Will probably change in the next 12-24 mnths. That will be the end of my loan besides i don't think i have quite explored the potential of my present car. I am sure this should make interesting posts in the tunning forum section. cruiser647
Looking to change in about 7 - 12 months I suppose. This is a VERY long time for me. The most I have had a car was 19 months, and that was my Audi V8. Would prefer an A8 obviously, but with the price of fuel etc and impending other stuff.......... Would probably get an A6 2.5 TDi Quattro Auto maybe an A4 (but might be a bit too small for me).
A3Floyd
If the missus passes her driving test then I'll probably get her an A2 for carting the kids about in and something like a Mk1 MX5 or a Mk1 Elise for me to hoon about in. Something cheap but fun. Assuming that she doesn't pass her driving test, then i'll be looking for something a little more special like an RS4 or an M5. I'd be happy either way beleive it or not. Wallachie
I intend to change my car within 12 months. I've been flaffing around for ages trying to decide what to do though. I've had my car for sale twice now, but haven't managed to sell it yet! I'm hoping to order a new S3 when it is launched next year, but I would really love a 987 Boxster S so if an early model 2nd hand 987 was available around Xmas next year for circa £30k I would consider that. There isn't anything that I really fancy at the moment. I'm considering selling my car now, before it depreciates even more, then getting a small runaround for the next year or so, perhaps a Polo GTI or a MKIV TDI Golf for around £7000. That will give me a chance to save up some cash in the next year. If anyone has any advice on what they think I should do, I'd be grateful for it!! garcon magnifique
My intention is not to change for another two to three years, the plan being that when I inevitably get itchy feet after a year or so I'll spend a couple of grand on a toy. When I do change the Legacy, its replacement will depend on a few things. I think it'll be time to look beyond the Subaru range, but how much mileage I'm doing and the price of fuel will probably influence the decision. Lexus GS450h will definitely be an option. Maybe a 645Ci if I'm less bothered about economy!
MattR32
I planned to keep my Ashtray for three years but the Focus ST has just come along with near R32 power, nice looks, a great price and reported dogs b0llox handling. The Poxhall has actually turned out to be the easiest, most carefree bit of motoring I have ever had - And the £3k off list price will help it's inevitable tragic depreciation. v15ben
Not for a while yet as I don't graduate till 2007. As soon as I am out of uni though it'll be time to buy a banger

Torino101
Probably in the next 7 to 12 months, but really when the right deal comes along - I have been searching for either the right spec 968 or Z3M Coupe, I adore both cars but my head keeps stopping me and telling me to buy a 330Ci. I shall see who wins!
Chris_B
7-8 months, hopefully I'll be in a shiny new S8.
Wallachie
[ QUOTE ] 968 or Z3M Coupe, 330Ci. [/ QUOTE ] Get the Z3 M Coupe, it's awesome!! I almost bought one, and I regret not buying it! It's a modern day classic, and if you get the right one with the E46 engine, low miles and FDSH it won't depreciate too much.
