Milo
Welcome to Tyresmoke dkhow There's a few people on here with the 3.0 (all in cabrios I think) so they'll be better placed to tell you about the engine. By all accounts it sounds like a smooth beast but will be a little bit heavier on the fuel than the 1.8T. If you hold on a couple of months you can have my 2003 03 Tdi for 12k (with less miles too)
Chav
I think the 3.0 is a great engine, and It'll fly in a tintop as they're lighter! Cruising down the motorway gives 400-450+ from a tank depending on your cruising speed! Tends to drop if you're stuck in traffic obviously. Never had less than 330 from a tank, and that was in London. Nice burble, plenty of torque, smooth as silk and comes alive when you floor it! Totally different power delivery to the 1.8T, means it may not feel that much quicker. (e.g. there's no throw to the back of the seat without the turbo) I think they lose value quickly as people imagine the consumption is much worse than the 1.8T, when its not really. del80y
Thanks for the welcome and comments,if I can hold on a couple of months I would be interested in your car milo,I sold my car private and got 2k more than dealers offered me
Milo
To be honest mine probably won't be available until 1st March next year so it would mean waiting 4 months But it's worth waiting for if you're in the market for a low mileage 130 Tdi
del80y
nice car, sure you dont want to sell now
Milo
It's a bit early for me to part with it right now as I would be without a car for 4 months so I would need to hire one (I need the car for work so I don't know if I'd want to get a really cheap banger in case it let me down). I may be tempted to sell privately after the New Year - it all depends on what the dealer offers me next month
