andrewh
Hey, as the owner of a mk5 Tdi, I have been looking for a nice set of alloys in last few months. These new zolder alloys which come with the new r32 are just what i want! Could you put them on a TDi? Will they be expensive?
R32North
Yes and Yes!! Not sure why you like them, the general opinion is that they are yuk!!! I'm sure that someone will sell a set as soon as they take delivery of their new R32...... 1st ones will be in the hands of UK owners around March next year! [/ QUOTE ] I suggest you re-post on here when the deliveries first arrive andrew. I am sure there will be someone wanting to swap them pretty quickly. I would also suggest you buy a lot of alloy wheel cleaner, as I reckon they will be a mare to keep clean.

Mate has recently bought a BMW 530d with the M tech wheels. They are a disaster to clean...evevtually he had to try with a toothbrush and they're now scratched to death. I suspect the Zolder alloys on the new R will be just as bad...
andrewh
Does it usually take long for the replicas to come out?
R32North
REps usually come out after the orginal has bee out for a wee while. Didn't see R32 Reps for 6-9 months later and about the same for MKV GTi alloys! Plus as you have a MKV there are many nicer alloys that suit the curves of the car better than the Zolder alloys!! NewNiceMrMe
They're horrible. However....on the silver R32 that Gabster drove and posted pictures of, I think they look completely different! Much more suited. Still nasty on any other colour though. Gabster
I like them, the old alloys were a mare to clean but I would suspect these will be worse.

The Zolder are just wrong, as Alloys, not just on the R32.
TP27
Have to agree with you Brett, seeing the Aristo's on the MkV R make you realise how good they are!! Anyone want to do another comparison Photoshop with BBS CH's on the MkV R for me??
andrewh
Thanx mate. That was a real help. I think the aristos look well on the mark 5. Could you show them on this photo. Seein them from the side would give an excellent view!

[/ QUOTE ] Have to disagree im afraid the MK4 alloys are a breeze to clean. A couple of squirts of "Muc off" (brilliant stuff) and the use of an alloy cleaning brush purchased from Maguires and the alloys are gleaming in no time. Dan32
Threw this one together so scale a tad off and the alloys look bright because the photo was in direct sunshine and the MKV is in dull Germany!
