Al_H
Not thinking of getting one just curious. There isint many on the audi database. any one got one? much different from the 2.0 TDI?
UBM
Quite thirsty mate. The 2.5TDI B6 Quattro avant gives 180 BHP (163 BHP for the non-Quattro)but with the extra weight of the heavy V6 and the Quattro system, you don't gain much performance and lose a lot of economy. Stick with a 2.0TDI!
Frodo
Or go with the 3.0TDi

Kell
If you're talking B7 I can't comment, but I changed from a 1.9TDi Saloon to a 2.5TDi (150hp) and am loving it. Yes it's a lot thirstier (comparable to a petrol) and the power delivery is different (seems like very litte low down torque), but once on the move it's excellent and surprisingly quick. UBM
The 2.5TDI is only 10 more BHP than the 2.0TDI?
Al_H
well not sure about the B6 but the B7 is 160 BHP which makes it 20 BHP more than 2.0 TDI. I think the main difference is probably torque levels.
Durrsaku
I didn't think they were putting the 2.5 on the B7. It's an ancient engine.
UBM
There are several 2.5TDI B7 for sale. I don't know if its the same engine though - I somehow doubt it?
Kell
The original (non-quattro) V6 was 150bhp. The later versions were 163bhp. The quattro ones were always mated to a 180 version. Though you have to remember that at the time the 1.9 was 130...or 110 if you didn't get the red i version.
