Scorpio
Hi, Im not sure if u read my recent post but I recently purchased an 04 plate M3 and extremely happy with my purchase!! I would like to change my current 19' M3 wheels for the CSL style wheels. I was told by a BMW service man today that changing to these wheels will be incompatible with the car and may void the warranty. Is this true? If this is not true then where is the best place to buy these wheels from? Also I have been looking at the M gallery and seen this headlight mod. Where can I get this and will it void the warranty if fitted? http://www.tyresmoke.net/gallery/albuo16/21502_G Thanks in advance if you reply to this. Scorpio
Also one more question: For M3 owners. Do all your lights on the rev counter go out or do some remain on at all times? Thanks again
NewNiceMrMe
Scorpio... Wheels - the M3 CSL wheels are NOT incompatible with your car. They'll fit without any issues at all. It's also highly unlikely that any main dealer would find cause to reject a warranty claim with CSL wheels fitted. In terms of finding a set (because you can't order them from the dealer unless you give them the VIN of an M3 CSL which they'll then cross-check as being yours) Headlight modifications - if it's the Angel Eyes (the circles around the headlamps) that you're talking about then you can source them from the site above too via a good few people who have fitted them (they're not easy to fit though). If it's the driving lamp modifications you're talking about then, personally, I wouldn't do it. Modified M3's (this is just my opinion) have a rather tacky look to them and it doesn't particularly help resale value either. Rev's limiter lights - yes these are meant to stay on. Read the cars manual!!!! You should do too, because it contains specific information about why they stay on (basically they go off as the engine temperature increases and you should never rev into the yellow band when cold).
