theduisbergkid
OK, we have all had some run-ins with Main Stealers at some point. My vote for the worse main dealer in the UK, goes to Marshalls Vauxhall of Leicester, who (a few years ago), "couldn't find a Vectra for you to test drive this week". FFS ! Whats your worse experience ? NAME AND SHAME !!!
DHA
My WORST experience was with Whites Audi Camberley. Many problems and delays from service department and the best they did was to invoice me for some goods that were given as compensation for their cock-ups. Booster
Ha ha!! I work down the road from them (Marshalls). Don't let Hotdog hear you - his mates work in there! Working in car finance I could name loads but the worst has got to be Reg Vardy. Doesn't matter what manufacturer, all Reg Vardy dealerships are the same. Tossers. Glad that another one has gone - the Fiat/Alfa dealerhip has closed down

garcon magnifique
Dodman Reed Mercedes, Stockport. A catalogue of unbelievable incompetence that I really can't be arsed boring you with. Smudge
My worst dealer was Ridgeway in Reading, though I understand they have changed a lot of things in house since, including the Dealer Principle. But 10 months to piss around with my car, to finally admit defeat & replace it was about 8 months too many IMHO.

He has a long list of issues with them too - prob why both Mercs are very soon to be gone. Stoopid thing is, he gets awesome service in his Vito van that is cheapo crap compared to his other Merc!!! Becuase its a Commercial, you can drop it off after 7pm and collect it before 7am the day after, fully serviced!!! How good is that!

saab
D. Salmon Cars, Colchester - Saab and Fiat Main Dealers - a sensible combination of makes I'm sure you'll agree - so many similarity and common parts shared between Saab and Fiat. Anyway they are slow, disinterested, inefficient and horrificly expensive for service. For sales just try and find a salesman - I was practically waving cash in their faces and their really didn't give a flying feck. Avoid them at all costs. I ask because I know dealers get sick of people test driving cars then saying thanks very much and procuring them through their companies lease scheme or through head office etc. Would possibly explain the lack of enthusiasm if so... Chris_B
Charles Warner (Vauxhall) in Lincoln. That smug bastard Paul on the service desk asked my business partner if it was true I'd crashed my Vectra 2.5 SRI and made a "Yes! [punches air]" response when he was told that I had indeed had an accident. How incredibly unprofessional is that? All I ever did to 'upset' him was ask them to service my car properly and actually fix the faults it was in for, it's not like I was rude to him or anything. NunchukHamster
Peter Cooper VW in Hedge End, Southampton. There service department genuinely can't tell the difference between their arse and elbow.
M8CKN
Richard Alexander VW in Huddersfield. P_G
PNG Enfield Vauxhall dealers who for two years couldn't sort out the airbag electrical loop which meant I had none for the large majority of my Vauxhall ownership, closely followed by Tyneside Audi who are just utter ****ers! Sales, service, body shop, the lot.
NewNiceMrMe
Well this is pending right now, but Tyneside Audi are doing a pretty good job of pushing their way towards my nomination.
DeanW
Derby Audi get my vote because they scratched the front bumper of my A4 when it was in for a service earlier this year, they didn't have the balls to tell me before I picked it up but luckily I spotted it before I drove off. End result - free service from Audi and my mates bodyshop did the bumper for £50 Pentagon Vauxhall Derby also get a shout after they bashed the bumper on my old Vectra but then denied it! Totally agree about Vauxhall dealers, they're all total muppets
D1MAC
Gordons Honda service dept for me - Didn't believe me when I pointed out a problem (just tried & failed to rip me off as usual) and then spent several thousands of Honda's money to not fix said problem properly. Of course the normal stealer rip off prices and trying to replace things that ain't broke also apply.
