novarallyman
I have a 51 plate A6 2.5Tdi 180 Quattro Sport Avant, it has done just over 80K. It has annoying vibration which is most noticable during acceleration, but it is there all the time. At tickover with the car stood still it can be felt when resting your hands gently on the steering wheel. Also at stand still with the lights on, (behind a car in traffic for instance) the light can be seen to be shaking. under acceleration, it can be felt and the engine sounds a little louder until you ease off the accelerator. Even at speed a continual vibration can be felt. I have compared my car to another exact same model and it did not have the vibration, I have taken the car to a local garage and they can not see anything wrong, no broken mounts or anything loose etc. Anyone with any ideas ? grahamb
Could it be the dual mass flywheel needs replacing, approx £650 for the parts.
BenjaminTDI
Perhaps one or more of the injectors delivering too much fuel, either that or a pressure sensor.. I had the same problem on my E320 CDI that had done a similiar mileage, just replaced the offending injector and it was fine.
