not another one, ive heard a few people claiming to be obtaining an EIP Tuning turbo kit for the R32.

1) Who did you order the kit from?

2) Have you received it yet?

3) I trust you have read the reports on the EIP software so far, more information can be found over on VWVortex however in essence, EIP have not yet managed to provide a 100% reliable software package to match the US R32 let alone the European R's

4) I imagine you have already consulted a company to carry out the RHD conversion unless you plan on undertaking this yourself. It seems rather straight forward, just a case of changing the downpipe to clear the steering shaft I believe based on the vagTech kit.

FYI Grant at Westec Performance (an offical EIP distributor) is waiting for an EIP turbo kit at the moment and will be fitting it to his own R32 in due course. I cant wait to see how he gets on with the install and the performance figures taking into account that the Euro R32 has a smaller MAF than the US equivalent. There are also a few teething problems with the EIP Tuning software which are still being rectified by EIP themselves.

Good luck with the kit, I aswell as many others on here would be excited to see a review in due course beerchug.gif

IMO the best kit to go for will be that of StreetWerkes which is due to be released in LHD format early 2006 with RHD to follow later that year fingers crossed

Talking about a turbo'd R32... I was down near Performance VW, the magazine HQ and Quaife Engineering and I defiantly saw a rather rapid, turbo'd R32 the other week possibly having a shoot done or a gearbox/clutch. It sounded loud!!! No idea if it was EIP of HPA or whatever but it had the lovely whoosh when it changed gear....

As someone mentioned, a few of us have had some experience with EIP on here. I waited for several weeks just for a CCAI from them so christ knows how long it will take them to ship a turbo kit. Why did you go for somewhere in the Netherlands? There are 2 companies selling EIP stuff in the UK, Westec and The Phirm. Good luck with it. Having heard the trouble Helfinger has had with a more trusted company and his supercharger, this could make for some interesting reading. As always, post up as much info as possible. Get some photos of the install etc.

Welcome to Tyresmoke Simon 169144-ok.gif

The only TsN member with a turbo'd R32 is Jon from VAG-Tech, who looks in occassionally. We saw his car running at the Tuner GP at Donington earlier this year, which was also the TsN R32 Summer Meet.

Quick car, but I still stand by my reservations about the HGP/EIP turbo conversion for the R32 (as opposed to the VW Engineering supercharger) in terms of longevity of the engine.

I also have no doubts that Helfingers ST7 will tag it without any problems once it's up and running, even though it will be 20-30 bhp shy of the 400 bhp that the VAG-Tech car allegedly puts out.
