Doctor46
Hi new to this game (blogging etc that is) so here goes for my first post. Can anyone tell me the width across the top of a Symohony II unit in a B7. I am having a dispute with a fella who I bought one from on Ebay. He says it came from a 54 A4 (so I guess it could be a B6 or B7), but I'm quite sure that it's from an A6. Certainly it's wider than my current Symphony II. The unit he sold me is 25cm wide across the top. If I've done this right I've attched a picture of the unit I bought. Cheers
craigyb
B6 & B7 are the same size, an A6 would be wider. Craig
Doctor46
Thanks for the quick reply. From what I read it appears you're a chap who knows a lot about Audi ICE. Would you have any way of telling me where this unit is from if I gave you the part number or AUZ number. My local Stealer wasn't over keen on helping. If you're not able to can you point me in the right direction. I'd like to have a bit of Ammo before I blow this bloke out of the water.

Doctor46
Cheers. You've answered part of it already. The part number is 4B0 035 195 Q and the AUZ number is AUZ5Z4C5367865. Thanks again
craigyb
Just looked at the attachment, the fact that it has "A6" stamped on the lid sort of gives the game away. Fancy an A4 RNS-E NAV system instead? Craig
Doctor46
Yeah, I noticed that too, but only after it arrived. And I wasn't sure it referred to what car it should go in. I've sent the bloke an e-mail, with my thoughts and obviously what you've been able to tell me, so I'll see what he says and let you know. Yes I have thought about the RNS-E Nav, but I live in Lowestoft, so it's a hell of a treck to get to you. Just out of interest though, how long does it take you to fit it? Thanks again for all your help.
