Ian_C
October 2002 '52' Golf GTi Anniversary 1.8 Turbo 180 bhp 3dr in Diamond black. UK model with the usual standard spec - 6 speed manual, climate, in-dash multichanger etc. Believe the cruise control was an option though. Unmodified, one owner, 42k, FVWSH. 18" BBS RC alloys replaced under warranty recently for the usual reason. Just been given its first mot. Posted on behalf of a colleague in case anyone is currently looking for a mint example. His new company car awaits - another VAG car with the same engine! There is no 'asking price' as he already has a trade-in price agreed but was happy for me to see if any enthusiasts were interested on Tyresmoke. Ian_C
Got a chance to speak to aforementioned colleague over lunch on Friday. His new Audi arrived this week - he has stuck it at the very end of a row in the car park with the Anni parked alongside 'protecting' it! The gentle running-in process now begins. With Audi having recently increased the standard equipment levels and bhp outputs on the TT, I have to admit you do now get quite a lot for your money. Although I have never been a massive fan of the TT, it does look great in Mauritius with upgrade alloys. He would certainly accept a private sale of under 12k for the Golf. Accepting the [surprisingly respectable] trade-in offer would be complete hassle free, hence I think beating it by a monkey is asked for a private sale. That'll be £11,500 then. A genuinely good chap for letting me put it on Tyresmoke in a 'beat the trade-in' kind of sale.' Ian
