Paul
Recently replaced my knackered chair with one of these from Argos, As previously discussed by Ari Due to a couple of faults, and general cheap quality it got sent back. Shame because it would have been a great chair otherwise. Im looking for a office chair, say £100-150 preferably leather and without arms, or with removable arms (some the arms are the only thing that holds the back in place so cant be taken off) as a chair with arms wont fit under my desk. Any suggestions where i might look? other than Argos, PCworld, Staples etc.
Thorburn
I bought one of those and love it, just out of interest what was wrong with it?
Paul
metal fixings that held the "side wings" up on the seat base were not well padded so the metal dug into your legs. the back of the seat in supposed "leather" rubbed through within 17 days yet nothing sharp or abrasive was near it. the above is what i sent it back for, but if i was being critical id also say the stitching up the edges from the zip was not brilliant, and probably wouldnt have lasted coupled with the metal fixing for the back not being fixed totally square to the back, making it look "pissed" i toyed with idea of getting retrimmed and re-upholstered in real leather, and correcting these flaws, but it would have cost many more times the cost of the seat so returned it. Thorburn
Same, mine didn't have any of those faults and I've had it about a year, perhaps it was a one off but I'm sure you can find better. The back of it is vinyl, but according to the label the front is real leather so don't know why it wore so badly, unless you dress in sandpaper? Paul
was the vinyl bit that rubbed through.

[/ QUOTE ] Translation: fat ar$e. My suggestion would be to order from a school supply catalogue - some of the stuff int these are fantastic. If you're interested, PM me and I'll find out the name of some of the companies for you.

Chav
If anyone finds a nice leather chair with a very deep seat let me know! Like to sit on them cross-legged sometimes, but either way, most chairs seem to not be deep enough and you dont fall into them like you do a comfy audi sport seat etc. My current chair is this... staples Laguna exec chair It's pretty comfy, but the arms aren't really padded enough to be ideal, and I'd prefer a seat a few cm deeper really for when I'm lounging in it staring at bugs! Staples always seem to have pretty good prices for chairs btw. Some of their less trendy leather ones are actually more comfy. I keep pondering whether to forget cool looks and just get their comfiest one, which has nice padded arms and balances a bit better when you recline etc.
