willg60
I'm now almost convinced that I'm looking at a new gearbox. How much should I pay at the stealers for a new box including fitting? Also, is it fair to say that a new box is slightly dearer than a rebuild, but then a spanking new one must be better.... I think I will be cutting my losses and selling it after it's fixed.... Can't deal with the stress !
Ska
I think BumpRT paid about £3K for one at the stealers but reconditioning I'm not sure... possible about £1.5K? Did you not sort that air intake pipe out first?

charlie61
didn't you have the airflow sensor replaced at huge cost, surely they should have checked for split pipes before replacing this sensor, it's obvious the reading will be out if a pipe is split, i'd go back and ask for a refund if this is the case
