mswarren
Hi, I had a dead battery on my 1999 A4 1.8T. Now, my auto windows don't work. They still go up and down, but won't auto.... I know that some of these options can be turned on or off by a dealer, is it possible that the dead battery has somehow restored factory settings? If so, can I put it back myself..? Thanks for any help, Matthew
Soapsuds
hi mate - welcome to TSN!!! Never had it on my Audi, but pretty sure it will be the fact that the auto windows have to sense the upper and lower tolerances of the window wind - so wind the window down fully until it stops, then up until fully closed and repeat a few times. The auto should then have re-learnt its tolerances and work! At least it used to do for me on a few cars with auto windows.

dq1
You need to wind the window fully up and hold the button up for a further 2 seconds to reset. Think this is explained in the owner's manual
