Omi
New topic to organise this... - As I'm already heavily involved with organising a sojourn over to Germany we'll get this sorted so everyone can bring their favourite toys and get it out of the way before Scumball a few months later. So, a quick poll to get us started. Your preferences please!
P_G
I'm up for it but would do the ferry from Shields to Rotterdam and make my way to Deutschland from there.
Drillslinger
I voted for the last weekend, but am flexible. I'm also the one who voted "Other" for the lodging because I'd rather sleep at home
Omi
How about we all sleep at your place/camp in your garden?
robin09
We cant really pick a date yet, because some weekends Sat and Sun are fully open (like last August 6th and 7th), but others are booked by private clubs. About one a month are fully open I think.

robin09
Thought I'd dig this up. They've managed to release the opening times up until the end of Aptil 2006 for the 'Ring. http://julesperry.com/ring-2006.htm I hope this chap doesn't mind me linking to his site, but its much easier to get your head round than the official calender. Public opening times are highlighted in green. HTH
Dr_Watson
I will be there on whatever weekend is planned hopefully. I am only about 470km south of the ring, near Zurich. I have a few friends with alot of knowledge about the nice places to stay and visit near the ring, the wine and beer tasting areas etc. I will find out where most are staying and go with the flow. Just tell me when and where. What is the general idea, arrive Saturday, drive Sunday, leave Monday type thing.

Dr_Watson
Hi Robin. I am very interested in these dates. I can't get the Monday off as I am off later in the week. I would be looking to take the Fri off, get there Fri afternoon for some action, Saturday too and see what happens on Sunday before travelling back. Would you be up for me to tag along with you guys. If so then PM me and we can exchange details. I have no idea what people normally do for accomodation. A cheap to mid hotel would suit me. I have raced my old MR2 round Knockhill so the "ring" is the same I guess but maybe twice as long...!!!! I would also be looking to go later in the year. Cheers Iain

Dr_Watson
Ok, 3 times as long then!
Scotty
The only distance I can find for Knockhill is 1.3 miles (2km). The 'ring is 20.8km so 10 times longer.
