TwoSheds
Hi Folks, First post since joining the waiting list treadmill, will I be able to last it out !! Finding lots of useful info on the forum & hope I'll be able to post some useful stuff on occasions. My stealer has quoted me £410 p.a. for VW Fixed maintenance package ( service, maintenance & tyres ) for 12,000 miles p.a. So I want to do some sums myself before committing. I'll be on longlife service. I know it depends on driving style , types of journey etc but what find of mileage are you getting or expect to get before first service. Anybody had to replace front tyres yet or what kind of mileage do you think I can reasonably expect to get from your experience ? Do you think this package is worthwhile? Thanks for your help. GTiMK5
Mine almost need replacing at 8500 miles, prob last another 500 miles if I am lucky. Cheapest I can get them for is £240 for the pair fitted. (225/40/18) I am getting continentals again as this is what it originally had but once the rears need changing I will probably get a different sort fitted. jacknelle
It might be worth re-negotiating your maintenance deal - I'm paying £273 per annum (10k miles) for service, maintenance and tyres.
