Wallachie
Is it just marked up as super unleaded at the pumps in Tesco, or does it actually say it's 99 RON super unleaded? I might call in today to see if my local garage has it.
Daz
It does say clearly 99 RON super unleaded if your garage has it.

R32North
It is actually 99RON, or have the rounded up, ie from 98.7RON (as an example)/ As you may know Optimax is commonly known as 98RON, but it is in fact 98.6RON (according to Shell). I'm just wondering if its actually any higher than Optimax! But at least it is higher than BP.

Tesco 99 for selfish southeners only.
cossie604
hmmmm......99ron + a octane booster??? Sounds like a chance to wind on more boost
5to1
Got it near me, havent had a chance to try it yet. I have tried the Sainsbury's Super and my car doesn't like that at all. Doesn't like their normal petrol either. Seems to be almost congested after I put a tank of theirs in.
Roy32
Ive been running tesco's 99RON for about 3 months now and find my car loves it. I could not tell any difference between this and Optimax apart from about 8p a litre.
MOSE
yep and those 8ps add up after a while mate
P_G
I wish Tesco would get their acts sorted out and get 99 RON up North. They've been 'trialing' it for effin months now, what more convincing do they need to distribute it nationwide?
Wallachie
[ QUOTE ] I wish Tesco would get their acts sorted out and get 99 RON up North. [/ QUOTE ] Absolutely, I do far too many miles to use Optimax so my car gets standard unleaded from BP or Shell! I only get 12p a mile from my company, and that doesn't even cover me when filling up with regular unleaded!
Frodo
Well the Petrol for Tesco's is provided by Greenergy who only have one distribution centre as far as I can make out and that is by the Dartford Crossing. So don't hold you breathe for delivery beyond Watford Gap
