V10 S8 revealed

Superb spec! I would love to take one out on a track day. Would need the brake upgrade though, hauling that mass through the chicanes...

Just a couple of things niggle though...

1. The 'look at me' V10 badge stuck on the flanks. Reminds me of what BMW did on the V12 7 series Those that appreciate an S8 know the spec..who are they trying to impress, the Saxo brigade?

2. The wheels smack of after market..I know they're part of the S range but I still don't go much on them..Perhaps they look better in the flesh. At 20" they should!

All fairly academic for me anyways as I won't be forking out £60,000+.

I agree, it's a little too fussy, and I'm not sure those wheels have the class they ought to have... the front end is a bit hectic too, they have made the grill a bit boy racer with all that mesh type stuff... still, I'm sure they are the dogs in the flesh.

Americans?

Audis usually come with two factory debadge options; engine designation and full. Hopefully, as the old S8 sisn't have engine designation badging on the back, just the S8 badge, the first debadge option will take off those awful V10 badges and just leave a nice S8 badge on the back.

I had the W12 debadged because leaving "A8 6.0" on the arse end seemed a bit like bragging, and I prefer to be a bit discrete.
