Ari
[ QUOTE ] If its so rare the price should be higher? [/ QUOTE ] Why? Maybe its rare because it is regarded as undesirable (hence few sold new), so the price should be lower.
Botang
I know a guy who has one of these and absolutely loves it 280bhp standard although he has just had his remapped to 300hp
Ari
I should imagine its a fab car. Just (like most "big" non premium cars) a hell of a depriciator. Just look at Phaeton prices! Mind you, a right bargain secondhand.
cruiser647
Quality car really. Looks exquisitely made too Does seem a bit cheap for a 2yr old VW......? Will they put that engine into the new Passat?
Calm Chris
At £33k for a Passat, it was a lot of money on launch. Then the IR people changed the rules on Co cars and it simply never made it as a volume seller in UK. Great Q car and if it's sorted and cleanish, a bargain. AudiPartner
I don't get it. Surely this is an attempted knock, why are we talking about it as if its serious??!! I mean, the cars worth about £13,000 for crying out loud.

jimdiesel
[ QUOTE ] Quality car really. Looks exquisitely made too Does seem a bit cheap for a 2yr old VW......? Will they put that engine into the new Passat? [/ QUOTE ] The new Passat is based on a stretched Golf platform, with a transverse engine. So the biggest lump its getting is the 3.2 V6 or a 3.6 version for the States.
M8CKN
The guy who was selling this Passat now has this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHEAP-VOLKSWAGEN-P...1QQcmdZViewItem and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHEAP-VOLKSWAGEN-P...1QQcmdZViewItem for sale, even thought they are both the same car as he sold today for £5000 (see reg plate) Dodgy me thinks!!!
