Bumpers in Black

Yeah, but I have to admit, I would prefer the top half of it to be colour coded, with just the black section around the exhausts and across to the drivers side. Incidentaly.. RED... if you're reading.. ( bound to be tongue.gif ), when are you going to colour code your "pimples". grin.gif

Seems that even when I lurk here hiding in my large long mac sekret.gif , you guys can see me!! Colour code my "pimples"? - I assume you mean my 'black' (dark grey) sides and front 'spoiler'....I'm still not sure. Looking at the car in photos is quite different than in the flesh and it doesn't look as 'wrong' as the pictures suggest.

I agree absolutely, as many others have already said, that the ideal would be to only colour code Holly Valance's top half. Andy has already done it on his Steel Grey car 169144-ok.gif . But having Quads meant the Holly Valance I've got. What worries me about coding the sides is that surely I would then have to code the front as well. My car is so filthy right now from a lot of recent mileage in wet weather that she is all colour coded brown! Further coding is not on my list of priorities right now. Turbo-back tomorrow and then see if I need to swop Non-Resonated for quieter Resonated section or not....More important for me at present.

....Ah, of course! No, I'm defo keeping those 4 pimples in black. With my Abt rear being so 'all-red' it helps to have the small black visual accents imo. Most people don't seem to agree with me about this but I'm convinced....It's another of those "looks better in the flesh than in pics" imo.

It also means that it's easier to differentiate the GTI and the R32.

I guess there are a limited number of visual options to use and that is a really easy one and very cost effective. I have to say I don't mind it especially on the red car - there is a pretty strong contrast but I don't think it does a lot for some of the silver/grey/black cars. Not saying it is bad with these colours just less than 'ideal' IMO.

Saw the R32 at MPH05 yesterday and it's even more bland in the flesh. Especially in Laser Blue NONO3.GIF And that Alloy Grille Flush.gif. At least Red's Exhausts are the proper distance apart, the R32's pipes are very "Clio 182" IMO.

Anyway Red, I'm with the others, your "pimples" would look less like a rash if they were Red too... Again IMO. 169144-ok.gif

If you do a search you'll see that where some members have had their bumpers painted it sort of takes away the sporty look a bit. Whoever said that they'll no doubt paint them for the facelift model halfway through is probably right. Unfortunately, the current VW styling philosophy appears to moving towards the bland - as witnessed by the SAGA inspired R32
