Golfer Posted November 14, 2005 Report Share Posted November 14, 2005 Hi Guys, this may be of interest, just got back from a test session with Audi, cars tested: W12 A8, 4.2TDI A8. Firstly the TDI, I was shocked at so little diffence between my "chipped" TDI3.0 and the 4.2, really not much in it, maybe from 100+MPH the 4.2 had an advantage, but every day use and acceleration not worth the fortune required to change. The 4,2 TDI averaged 27MPG admittedly with under 20 miles on the clock when tested. The W12L was a very quick machine and was much the faster car of them all, mid range awsome, stearing very light around town, On fast corners the "nose weight" is felt but not to much, MPG was 17 which was not as bad as I thought it would be. best regards AJ.
