Prhim
Anyone else seen the Volvo estate - registration "A4 BDV" - thats roaming the M4 roadworks around Maidenhead? It looks like a police car (Battenberg, etc.), but has no 'police' markings or blue lights. Yet, it does say it is 'video equipped' and a 'safety car'. Also on the rear quarterlight is something like 'Supplied by BDV Solutions...' and then a load of print I didn't get time to read (I was kind of watching the road, as you do). Is this just scare mongering to get us to slow down, or are they seriously trying to trap speeding motorists using a civilian contractor? I passed it after the roadworks (ie back up to national speed limit) at 5am yesterday and will be seriously pi**ed if I get a letter through the door. I've tried Googling the company 'BDV Solutions' but get nothing.

Smudge
Could also be from the Transport Research Labs in Crowthrone, not a million miles away, and I know they have cars marked up in a similar way etc.
Chrisg
Colour of car ????? wouldn't be dark green would it ........ if so I've seen it stopped on M4 with another vehicle in attendence. ( would have been between Reading 11 and Slough east5 as I rarely use the rest of motorway) Would know if they were together or it had stopped the other.
