RobK Posted November 16, 2005 Report Share Posted November 16, 2005 We have a few print servers which about 2 months ago suddenly started having problems. Basically we get loads of event 61 (or 6161) print errors in the system log, and nobody can print anything until we restart the spooler service. I've checked the first error event each time and there's no consistency in the driver, print queue or job type that causes this. Also as far as I'm aware no patches went onto the servers at the time this started happening. Since I'm on the verge of wiping all the queues, ports and drivers on all ther servers, has anyone got any idea what could be causing this? shark_90 Posted November 16, 2005 Report Share Posted November 16, 2005 Try reinstalling all your printers firstly Rob, and see how things go from there. What type of printers are they? RobK Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2005 There's a variety of printers but they're mostly HP, all connected via JetDirect cards and using standard TCP/IP ports.
