Skidmark
I ran a set of Yoko Parada 2's which were noisy to start with & got worse as they wore. The rears went on the insides with the blocks getting a twisted look ?? It was so bad towards the end that I had a warranty issue for wheel bearings! In the end I took them off in pairs [front first] to work out where the noise was comming from and replaced them with Vredistein Ultracs. The result was noise gone and nothing wrong with car. The VUs have now done 15k [just swopped front to back] and look like they will go to 25k. The noise was very worrying with the Yokos and the wear did look like alignment probs...but it was just the tyres. cheers
dave_uk
Sounds about right to me I had the same problem with my previous car (S3). Thought I had a major problem as i had this vibration coming through car, when the dealer checked it out, it was distorted rear tyres. 2 new tyres later the problem was fixed. Good Luck. Mook
When you get your new tyres put on, get the wheels laser aligned. Even out of the factory, they're never set up properly. Can't speak for the Marshall tyres, only run Michelin PS2s.
Zenyck100
ive had the 4 wheel alignment. well it looks like im going to go for toyo proxes T1R's @ £111.00 per tyre all in. Michelin PS2' cheapest i found was £162.00 all in per tyre
Dan32
Not sure if its juts mine but the rear tyres seem to have a bit of negative camber on them. This would obviously wear them on their inside edges more. Just had my car laser aligned and the bloody thing still pulls to the left. Sure he said its as far over to compensate as it is so will have to put up with it.
Mook
Dan, if you can, get yourself over to AmD www.amdtechnik.com - I had a similar problem with mine pulling to the left a few months ago. They spent a couple of hours with the laser alignment system and swapped all of the wheels and tyres around until it was running as straight as a die. £160 seems a lot, esp. as you've just paid to have it done, but, once again, AmD came up trumps
McGee
Just been there today as had the same problem as Mook. Kwik Sh*t supposedly aligned wheels but still did not feel right so took it to AmD. Noticed the difference straight away expensive but worth it knowing they have done a proper job.
