NewNiceMrMe
Right, what do you think to this colour combination. IMPORTANT NOTE: Ignore the wood trim and try to imagine it with brushed aluminium trim. It's Silverstone II with Silverstone II...and I've seen one in the flesh and it looked absolutely stunning.... These are pictures I've sourced elsewhere. Too much of the same, or clinically cool? It looks much better in the flesh to be honest.
Riz
I think it looks very well..... mmmmmm yet another post about the M5... are you sure your not buying one? Is this your way of dealing with not buying one..... and being wise about it... i.e. investing money for the future etc. Riz
gizze
You got an inerior shot? If it is the silver leather and door cards against the black carpets/dash etc. I think it looks stunning. Saw that interior but on a black cat today, awesome! edit: bugger! you posted the interior pics, anyway, looks great.

Drinks
[ QUOTE ] Black on the outside, silver on the inside, and a V10 under the bonnet [/ QUOTE ] Couldn't agree more. Love that interior though I'm not convinced that alu trim would really set it off. But the exterior would have to be black

NewNiceMrMe
Well similar, but the M5 has a lot more of the brushed aluminium...and that's what I'd be a bit unsure of if it was me on this particular model of car. p.s. that looks very nice indeed Bub. UBM
OK - but seen a black one in the flesh with blinged windows and huge alloys - looked TDBs!
NewNiceMrMe
I can't do Black cars. The wife's 320d is a pain in the rear to keep clear of scratches. Although it doesn't help that I'm sure she drives through hedgerows every day.
Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] but the M5 has a lot more of the brushed aluminium [/ QUOTE ] Germans just don't do wood.......... How about (dare I say it?!) carbon fibre? Do they offer that? BUB

Oh well that just leaves the brushed aluminium then. Isn't a sort of 'machine turned' finish rather than brushed? BUB
theduisbergkid
That looks fantastic, top quality interior. Right colour combo MrMe ! I like the wood too...
NewNiceMrMe
It's not a very 'brushed' interior, that's true. But it is brushed of a kind In fact it's much more like the interior on the 6, like this...but a bit brushed...if you know what I mean!
garcon magnifique
Is Silverstone II similar to the Silverstone on the previous model M5 then? (i.e. a very light blue rather than pure silver). It's a fantastic exterior colour for the car - especially if it's still an M5 only colour. Not entirely convinced by the all Silverstone trim - possibly a bit too much. I did see a previous model with two tone silverstone and charcoal leather - that looked good. Edit - actually, looking at those pics again, with that amount of black trim in there it looks good. As for brushed Ali/wood/carbon fibre etc. I'm really not sure. I'd possibly go for piano black wood or grey stained birds eye maple (as Jag Sport/Merc Avantgarde) if available.
NewNiceMrMe
Yep, thats the colour. M5 and M6 only. Probably the 2007 M3 too.
cruiser647
Yeah, colour combo looks good - loose the wood, and put in something dark as mentioned before!

FuntimeFrankie
I agree, I think the wood looks good. I can't do silver cars, the g/f says they don't suit my complexion
gizze
I have to say that with the new style dash I may even prefer all black, look at the new Z4M..... All black. Brushed Alu. Now if you added silvertone leather to the all black interior I think it would look great.
NewNiceMrMe
Hmmm, that's a bit dark for me. However, you're right that the contrast with the Silverstone II trim would liven it up. Anyway, I just wondered what the TSN massive thought of it in general. It's very striking in the flesh. Wallachie
I would have either Silverstone blue II with Imola leather, or Carbon Black with cinnamon leather!
