Luke
Saw my old car today, still on the stealers forecourt. Was initially up for £19600, is now £18500. I traded in for £16000. New R32 looks to be hitting prices a bit.
R32Ash
Suppose it's bound to happen really. What I would say though is that the (relatively) high price of MKV Rs won't do the MKIV Rs second hand value any harm. You're looking at in the region of £10k difference between a late MKIV on low miles and a MKV of a similar spec I'd imagine.
Craigieboy
Yeah thats the kind of price difference I've noticed. Spend that extra 10k on existing mkiv upgrades or go for mkv? (not that I have extra 10k lying around mind)

[/ QUOTE ] Prices have dropped a bit in the last 2 months, the industry is seasonally at its slowest but at the moment the motor industry is having a really shocking time. I went to the autocar awards on Monday and after a couple of chats with a few product managers the general concensus is they are seriously feeling the pressure (October registrations were at an all time low)
MattR32
That's why I got over £3k off a brand new and quite rare (not Astras in general, just the top line diesel Astra) care that has only recently been released! If you have money to get something, don't part with it for anything less than 10% off list!

Daemon
Just a random datapoint, but over here in the US, used R32s are still fetching prices within +/- $2000 of the original $30k MSRP . Dealers are selling used R32s with low miles (5-8k miles) for over original MSRP. The lowest priced ones have 30k or more miles on em, and are selling for $26-28k. Basically all the R32s here were sold before most people even knew they existed, and most of the magazine reviews were pretty late, so now they're in extremely high demand. ian
