Do Tom Tom market acific unit that covers both GPS Camera and SatNav? I find the Tom Tom world very confusing.

If so, does the Tom Tom stuff cover all camera types including laser cameras?

Tom Tom is just a GPS receiver/navigator.

Therefore you can download positions of speed cameras and it'll tell you when you are approaching one, but it have no active dectection like laser detector.

However laser detectors are widely regarded as of little use as they only detect the laser when you're actually being zapped, by which time it is too late.

Plus active detectors are illegal, GPS position detectors aren't.

The Bill that would have made active detectors illegal failed to get through Parliament when the General Election was called earlier this year.

So in the UK radar and laser detectors ARE legal.

But we should expect a Bill that will make them illegal to be re-introduced in the not too distant future - unfortunately.
