RDS problems

I'm having problems with my symphony stereo. It won't change frequency on its own, ie. track radio 1 up the country and the traffic will only somtimes work, but only if listening to a cd. Please help. Thought it might be the aerial amp, poss.

Have you set AF to ON (AF = Alternate Frequency) to make it follow Radio 1 etc., and have you set TP & EON to ON (TP = Traffic Program & EON = Enhanced Other Networks) to make traffic announcements work. BTW traffic announcements won't work unless you are listening to a radio station with a good signal strength and that transmits the relevant RDS information.
