Met up with my Brother in Law today and went in search of some decent A roads. Couldn't resist taking a few pics. 169144-ok.gif

They Started off nice and clean too.

Top pic shows a Power Station about 6 miles from me with a fantastic sweeping stretch of lovely smooth tarmac. grin.gif

How long have you got?

Iv'e always been the one to turn up at my Brother in Laws in the sporty car and he has always been a little more conservative, MkIII, TDi etc. I Pi55ed him off when I turned up in my R32 and he vowed he would "get me one day".

I mentioned I liked the new GTi back in Feb and was gonna book a test drive. He bet me to it and put an order in 1 week before me, but kept it quiet.

He turned up at my house a week before I got my car with the biggest grin Iv'e ever seen. Even so I was very pleased for him. He's been ripping it ever since and today was a chance to get my own back by completely annihilating him on a 0-60. DSG is Sooo much quicker jump.gif

Red is very satisfying to clean. It doesn't show the dirt too badly though far worse at the back where it all swirls up. Mine was really filthy and cleaned up brilliantly with a hose, Meg's Lambswool Mitt, Meg's Magnet Cloth in just 2 hours. It is A-Glazed which helps. Keeping the wheels clean gives the illusion that the car is cleaner than it really is!

Very nice cars. How are you finding the red to keep clean as I am undecided on which colour to get.

Red is a dream to keep clean compared to Diamond Black or most other dark colours. Robin's right about the rear atracting 5hit like a magnet though. Iv'e noticed the rear has got some small tarmac spots on it already after 4k miles. I remember my old Mk 2 Golfs doing that and it was always a pain getting the tar off.

Funnily enough someone at Milltek recently told me that they thought I was working for them and were wondering how they had never met me! Truth is though that I'm simply genuine and enthusiastic in my recommendations. I highly rate Ray West of West Tuning as well. I get no financial returns but I do get well looked after and appreciated of course. No one has to follow my recommendations....I'm just sharing my experiences.
