bodger00
Kent and Piper are well established names. However, I am curious to find out what makes you want new cams? What stage of modification have you done so far? Personally I would only consider cams once I had done air filter, exhaust, brakes tyres and chipped the car. I would recommend a hill climbing cam which is specifically designed to have low torque, rather than it all top end. But thats just my preference. gregmaddocks
i have a k & n induction kit, scorpion monaco cat back exhaust , currently purchasing a set of audi tt replica wheels.i also favour greater pulling power as opposed to topend speed. how much approx would a set of hillclimb cams cost?? a friend of mine added a set of kent cams to his gti turbo and it improved his performance, and i would like to improve the performance of my car too, regards greg
jimmyp
[ QUOTE ] i would like to improve the performance of my car [/ QUOTE ] Greg, surely you would want to get a remap done first as fitting cams is expensive. You can get very good bhp and torque increases from a remap and it's probably the place to start first before considering cams etc. HTH

If the cone is exposed in the engine bay this can reduce power by sucking in warm air as opposed to the cool air from outside which CAIs and OEM systems use. simkna
I'll second that (see sig) - not that cheap if done properly though. Si.
