collease Posted January 19, 2006 Report Share Posted January 19, 2006 just driven down the road and had a very nice SL merc come the other way looked well kept but it sounded as ruff as as its only the first one iv heard moving do they always sound like the engine is rattling it's self apart. Lovely car, fast as anything- but I genuinely thought the exhaust pipe had broken at highish revs. It sounded like the catalyst was full of marbles. Flame suit on... (although you do pay another £15K+ on top of the Ford price!!) And Ford replaced their bag o'spanners long before Merc did anyhting about theirs!
