Ari
I tried to back my photos up to a CD, but there's too many of them. Someone suggested I buy a DVD and back them up to that (much more capacity). Got a DVD-R, put in DVD drive. Went to "My Pictures", right clicked "Pictures" (the file with all my photos in), clicked "Send to", chose the D drive and it came up with Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder. What do you want to do? Retry, Skip, Cancel. Obviously Retry just gets the same message. Any thoughts?
CarMad
Do you deffo have a DVD writer... not just a CD writer. ???

Rustynuts
You do have a dvd burner, not just a cd burner? It's just that my daughter got the same message when she nicked a dvd-r to copy some stuff on her computer (cd burner, y'see). Edit: Right, too slow, eh? Paul
I use Nero to burn mine. Select data disc, select files, Burn. ive never written a DVD using the windows send to command. infact, having just looked at that very menu, only the CD-RW dive is listed out of all of my 3 drives. So I eject the disc and it come up with a wizard telling me there are files waiting to be burned to disc. So I put disc back in and ask it to burn and it tells me it's the wrong sort of disc, it wants a writable CD! FFS!!!!
