drpellypo
The roadworks are coming.. it's not going to be good. What's the betting there will be only two lanes in operation, and no workmen?

[/ QUOTE ] Only 80 million, I might be able to weave between the gaps then. I wonder if the EU has a surplus cone mountain much like it used to have a surplus butter mountain in the 80's? Anyway, I'm gutted because that's my favourite stretch of A19, the uphill blast from standing start at the lights at the Silverlink roundabout sorts out the men from the boys for speed and torque. P_G
Good smooth tarmac up the hill as well for good traction, only been beaten by an RS6 thus far, even had a C4S (childish I know but it was fun to see the other driver sface, beaten by a car half the price), Why are they replacing it or is it the central barriers? drpellypo
hehe.. I took the Passat on a test drive up that stretch too. And it['s the road I use to get to work every morning. D'oh. There are major works planned for that entire stretch. I'm trying to find out exactly what. AFAIK, it's a lot more than the barriers though - hence the now A19 of dooom.
