swil00
Yeah, Here you go, I posted a pic in this thread: LINK Might not look as fancy as the recaros, but the car still goes the same and doesn't look IMO. each to their own and all that
flux
Thanks swil00, looks alright to me! Don't suppose you have a pic of the back part of the seat as well do you? Cheers.
swil00
Not sure if your looking at the right pic ?? I posted this one first MKV but as it is a screenshot from TV the auality isn't too good, so posted the second pic (seat base) from my old R as it the same cloth in the centre panels.. (I think)
flux
yeah, did see both pics, but as the 1st one you posted was a mk5 I thought that it wouldn't necessarily be representative of the mk4 (*). I don't mind the look of the cloth, but I'd just like to see what the seat looks like as a whole on the mk4. Thanks. * I'm after the mk4 Monte Carlo interior - I don't know if the mk5 is called this as well, which might be causing confusion. If so, sorry!! swil00
ahh.... MKIV your looking for.. I've got a pic on my PC in the house (at work at the moment) Will have a dig about to see if I can find any, failing that I'll post a pic of the full MKIV Monte Carlo seat when I get in later.. AGK512
If it's still there there is a mk5 at a nottingham VW dealer with the cloth interior .... it's cancelled customer order. I recon that it must be the only car in the UK at the mo with the monte interior

Mook
Sorry Swil - that's a Mk4 R32 Koenig leather/alcantara seat (which sags just as much as the Mk4 R32 Koenig seats in leather...

Mook
Ha! Just saw the title at the top of the pic - it says Swil00's R32 - so I guess he would know! But, IIRC the only option on the Mk4 Koenigs was Leather or Leather/Alcantara. They're definitely Koenigs though, not Monte Carlos Where's the resident "Original Mk4 Spec List & Accessories" expert...

Monte Carlos were the basic cloth/leatherette (as in imitation leather) which only came in black and were standard equipment. Then next up the cost ladder were the leather/alcantara (this option was only available in grey and as far as im aware do not suffer from the saggy bum affair, well mine dont and others viewed before buying mine didn't suffer from this) Then there's the full leather option (full black leather only and deff. suffers from the saggy seat jobby, all i looked at did) HTH

1monty
Just seen an R at my dealers with the black 'Monte Carlo' seats with no sag whatsoever. They are Koenigs & only wish I had them instead of the full leather!

RossG
Grey Alcantara would be my 1st choice... Second has to be the Monte Carlo. I haven't seen a used one yet, with full leather, with seats that don't look saggy and worn IMO...
