s3marc
So I have the concert radio out and want to route the ice link cable down to the arm rest. How much of the car do I need to dismantle and how do I go about it (where are the screws , nuts etc.... to undo trim etc....) Currently all I can see is a big black hole behind the radio that goes down behind the climate control. Or am I better off putting the ipod lead thru into the glovebox? Soapsuds
into the armrest is best and quite easy.... route the cable down the passenger side of the central console, behind the climate, so it pops out of the bottom. Remove the ashtray and its main holder - two screws are visible once you remove the insert - unscrew them and pull out at an angle... Remove the trim underneath the handbrake - use a small screwdriver, but make sure you dont scratch / mark the trim. Remove the armrest - take out the rear ashtray and you will see the main bolt holing it in place - undo this and lift the armrest out... thread the cable through using the holes created with removing the trim to ensure a tidy route. Pop the cable out through the armrest hole and then dismantle the trim on the armrest (it simply pulls apart) and thread the cable into it..... Pop all the trim back together, but MAKE SURE your armrest folds up without trapping the cable Bask in your installation glory and the effect of your iPod at night all lit up by the red lights in the armrest
s3marc
Damn, that was a quick reply! Hopefully I will give it a go at lunchtime, or maybe over the weekend. Thanks Marc
