Dave_rave
Please help – Confused from Dunstable here! Years ago I had an EBay and pay pal account. I haven’t used it for ages and I forgot the log in details. Recently I set up and new EBay and Paypal account but when I enter the card details to pay with, Pay pal is saying that I someone else is using these details (i.e my old account) and I cannot use them. The weird thing is that the card I'm trying to use has a different issue and valid to date on it (it's a debit card) so how can it be the same card? Does pay pal only look at the long card number in the middle when looking for previously used details? How can I therefore reset the card so I can use it with Pay pal and pay for an item? Your help would be gratefully received! David
Jsparkesuk
Its not because the cards the same its because they are the same account, Paypal know this. If you have another card set it up with that and add the "duplicate" card as a 2nd card
Dave_rave
Thanks for this. So if i add a different "bank account" card it should be OK? Is there any way to delete the old account? PS. I'm a Red's fan! Good lad!
Sparky
You need to contact Paypal in this instance, but adding another bank account will sort it for now.
