sotty
Make: Golf Model: GT Tdi Year: 2001 Engine: 1.9 PD115 Engine Code: pass Mileage: 80000 Just been to town at lunchtime. I got 1/2 mile down the road and my heater plug warning light came up. It flashed for about a minute or two then went off. On my way back it was fine. This may have been posted before but I cant find anything. Does anyone know what its indicating? plugs on way out or a loose wire maybe?? Appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Cheers
pritesh
not totally sure but I remember in my mk II golf TD that this indicated that either the plugs needed changing or the fluse is actually starting to crack so I would check the fuse first. see how that is then look at the plugs
hotdog
Although its not a VW, my van has done this and in my case it was a faulty egr (exhaust gas recirc) valve that was sticking. Not sure if VDubs have these but I would guess so for emissions reasons. If it is the same problem, ignore it, it will go away Someone more knowledgeable will be along soon
Rustynuts
I doubt it's got anything to do with the glow plugs. Check your brake lights and see if there's a bulb blown.
