fatcat
Did one replace the other ? .......... or are they both current ? help
sidicks
Both current colours - Atlas Grey (which is what I've chosen!!) is quite a lot darker, almost black from a distance. Seal grey is more equivalent to Dolphin Grey (in Audi terminology!) Why the question? Sidicks
DHA
Atlas is what I have Pete.

fatcat
[ QUOTE ] Why the question? [/ QUOTE ] Am looking at a couple of C4S's and and was not quite sure what was what, I much prefer the Atlas. At the dealers today and the salesman was not knowledgable at all about the brand and felt I was wasting my time... As I was leaving, a guy arrived in his C4S and it was not grey but not black, so I guess what I saw was Atlas then, it looked bloody great and sounded great. I even asked him if he was planning to sell it soon, we swapped phone numbers, so hopefully (fingers crossed) he will call.... but I really liked his car. On an 04 plate too

When you enquire about it just say that you want to have it checked by porsche and have a years warranty added! My mate did it with his polar silver 996 C4S cabriolet and saved near on 6k

patently
[ QUOTE ] Will they do the checks on a private sale??? Pretty cool if they do. [/ QUOTE ] You can take any Porsche to a stealer and they will do the 111-point check for you. About £125 IIRC. I've seen it done on mine, and it's fairly rigorous albeit entirely external - nothing is dismantled. It won't tell you if the clutch is about to go, for example, but there is a reasonable test drive during which he should spot anything amiss. Once it passes that, or after any necessary work has been done, you can have a year's extended warranty for £725 (?)
DHA
Will bear that in mind for the future.

fatcat
Meteor is very very nice, seal is very good, but I've fallen out with Atlas - just a wee bit dark on the Boxster, but does look good on a 911.
