NewNiceMrMe
Wow. That will be interesting to see. The Rotrex Supercharger alone ups the power to 440bhp! So god knows what the rest will do!

Roninpb
MrMe Wrote: "The Rotrex Supercharger alone ups the power to 440bhp!" FYI: I posted an in depth description (looong post) to a new thread entitled .... Active Autowerks Supercharger: Is it worth it? some time ago. It was deleted w/o warning/notice and I have not received a reply to email yet. Most of your Qs would be answered in that deleted post. Onward .... Active Autowerks (AA) promised me 380RWHP in OEM condition w/their Level 1 SC kit. They later changed it to today's 360RWHP again w/OEM components. I didn't complain much. Until we found we could only achieve 345RWHP w/a a full race SS system & ceramic coated headers. BTW; unofficial AA rep JMWeb claims that a realistic number is 350RWHP for an OEM M3 w/AA's kit. We had been on the phone w/AA almost constantly, so after the initial install was done and after the Blower was replaced (defective out of the box), more troubleshooting, etc, we told AA that we were unable to make their claimed numbers. AA at first said that we were not Dynoing the car properly (ie, blame the customer/installer). In brief: We proved to AA that we were dynoing my car correctly. So AA repliedd that we needed a full, high flowing, cat back exhaust system. We (very humbly and politely) pointed out if that was the case, the kit was misrepresented to us. Plus it was (and remains) still listed on their website as NOT requiring any other mods to make 360RWHP. In brief: AA said it was a typo and that we needed to install a full exhaust, etc. I had been expecting this due to how they've been treating me/us (like effin mushrooms.) We then told them that we had a full, SuperSprint Race system w/ceramic coated headers. Few would dispute that this mod alone adds app 10RWHP. AA tried to blame Autohaus Bayern. Claiming that they must have erred during the install (more blame the customer). We pointed out to them (after much ado, more hrs troubleshooting, etc) that we had followed their instructions to the letter and that AA rep(s) had assisted, by phone, during the install and troubleshooting. In fact, at times during this never ending months of ordeal (hope to end it soon one way or another) my techs had been under the guidance and control of AA techs. AA techs even had us modify the AA SC kit against our wishes. We thought it would make matters worse. We were right! Finally, AA said I should send the ECU for a reflash. Reflashing of this kind is supposed to be free. When I phoned AA for shipping instructions, AA said I would be charged for the reflash. I pointed out that this kind of thing should be warrantied. AA said they'd look into it and get back to me. They didn't get back to me. I phoned again and this time, I was out of patience but remained courteous. I explained in no uncertain terms that AA had already screwed up once when they intially reflashed my ECU and kept an OEM 7900RPM redline and that they owed me a reflash no matter what (at least fto fix the improper reflash). AA finally agreed. But I would have to pay for HIS in both directions. And, of course, I would have a dead car for a minimum of three working days. Some details in re the redline issue: It was AA who insisted that I must lower my redline to 7600RPM or it might damage my motor and AA would warranty such damage. When I mentioned this to AA initially .... I bet you've guessed it, right? .... AA tried to blame me! Claiming that I had ordered a 7900RPM kit and that they had the proof. I asked for proof of what could not be (i had a recording of my order w/JGhattas, AA didn't know this then). AA said they'd get back to me (as above). AA then tried to blame the installer. But I pointed out that I was listening in when Autohaus placed the final order. Only then did AA agree to reflash the ECU under warranty. Of course it still ends up costing me a lot of money in HIS and how much does it cost to rent an SMG M3 for a three day period? Do we see a pattern here folks? Well, you'd be right. A very distinct, long standing, pattern of misconduct on AA's part. Peace, Ronin.
Roninpb
[ QUOTE ] <snip>No comment. [/ QUOTE ] I rarely use the foglights and plan to add an Imola Red grid ot finish the fornt end. I'd save a few lbs up front and w/the addition of the app 100lbs SC kit (& W/A injector) I need to drop some front end weight. Hmm, maybe an LTW hood? Can you say Vorsteiner? [ QUOTE ] Seriously tho, sounds like a fab car ... any chance of some pics and performance stats? [/ QUOTE ] Thx! All I have are ten old, lousy pics but everyone else ahs demanded them (other sites) so I shall post them. Pease no flames over the poor image quality. Ronin Edit: Hmm, looks like I can only post one file at a time. Before I drive myself crazy <pun intended> is ther a way for me to attach multile pics to a post? Peace, Ronin.
