Audi configurator and the Cabriolet

Ari, they're more expensive than the B6 and look almost similar. Buy a late 3.0 B6 s-line and I reckon your cost to change wouldn't be too bad. I was offered a new one last year for a little bit over £29k with a few toys.

Get a 12 month old one now for say £26k versus £35k+ for a new B7 3.2 s-line cab blush.gif

Gotta be worth checking it out. See if these B7's actually do drive better.

I guess the current one must be coming on for 2 now IIRC. What miles have you done?

Where do you stand on S-line Ari? Initially on the B6 it seemed to mean something (better motor spec), but I don't like that you can have an S-line with any engine? Not being snobby, just think Audi are pandering to the UKs current 'bling' obsession.

Correct, current Cab is indeed two years old now. It has 27,000 miles I think.

I'm not convinced by the S-line for two reasons. Firstly the suspension is apparently harsher than Sport suspension, and considering the Cabrio is hardly an Elise I'm not convinced super hard suspension is really in keeping. And secondly the S-Line (I believe) has 18 inch wheels which look great, but I find anything over 17 inch gives too much road noise. Excessive noise in a car at speed is a pet hate of mine and one of the best things about the Cab is it's amazing refinement on long motorway trips with the hood up. Anything that compromises this is (for me) a bad thing. Plus the lower profile tyres would harshen the ride still further.

Also good reasons to opt out of the s-line fad.

I guess you'll be interested in the 2.0T.

Is second hand an option?

I found my 3L was a much more refined long distance car than the 1.8T (and indeed the S4 for that matter).

The 3L has always seemed a bit too dear new, and from the figures Milo has quoted things seem to have got a bit worse with the B7.
