Noggy would have to be a tie for 2nd on my list if i swapped im afraid boys.

Misano/Ferrari first

Noggy/Avus second.

Black is not my first choice, or even second, It was already spec'd, and you couldnt order S3's any more, let alone get one this loaded on a late plate.

But it is the most popular colour by all accounts, and does look stunning when its gleaming.

Just a pig to keep it that way!

Funny enough its the one car i have kept the longest, and have covered the most miles with.

Forge commissioned the orginal 1.8T kit through Samco.

Im not sure whats happening with samco recently, ive been hearing people are struggling to get the kits, and been going to other companies like SFS, who staff previously had something to do with samco.

so they are probably identicle.

My Clips are JCS HiGrip Marine grade stainless steel.

I thought about the Mikalor clamps www.mikalor.co.uk but you cant fit them in some places because the bumps on the pipes thats for retaining the hoses.

The JCS you can give some serious grief to and they havent moved one bit. They are also not so fussy on sizes.

The Mikalor ones you have to be pretty accurate with sizes and get them within their range.

you can buy it direct

it does take a little gettting used to, but once you do the results are brilliant.

Sparingly is the key. Little and often (ie pad to pot) goes one hell of a way.

discussed here

The wax in the pictures is Onyx. Its circa £40 a pot, but will last you 2+ years.

I have only just started to see the bottom of my pot nearly 3 years on!, used on two cars.

Ill probably try the next step up next. Saphir at £60 a pot. Its still cheaper than the equivalent amount of Autogleam over the same duration. And doesnt give the white dust, or stain plastics.

Btw the only other swissol product i buy is the clay bar. So dont get scared off my buying into the whole swissol branding, it isnt all necessary.

Links discussed in this post.

Seeing as this thread is already all over the place;

Paul-S3, just as a side thought, we often use stainless worm-drive jubilee clips at work. Very similar to the ones you've used for your hoses. Generally we install them on pipe seals offshore on the oil rigs. Problem is that the screws that hold everything together are often made of carbon steel, and therefore rust rather quickly. Might be worth keeping an eye on them.
