alanm73
Not been on here for a while but i thought id share this one with you. Coming back from my folks in Fife yesterday afternoon from the Forth Road Bridge to the M9 Motorway I was behind i was behind a Black Type R, a TDI 4 motion Golf and im in my A3 TDI S-line. So anyhow got on to the slip road and i went to pass the Golf which pulled out at the same time as me and left not only me but the Type R for dead in a puff of black smoke. Wouldnt of minded finding out what re-map it had done as it was quick!! Anyhow i sat behing the Civic till we both eft the m-way at Grangemouth i looked over at him and gave him a wave and he just laughed and shrugged his sholders. MattR32
Must have. My Ashtray is marginally quicker than those Golfs but I'd NEVER take on a CTR.
Nelson_R32
My remapped Cupra TDi could pull on a CTR mid range, once past 100mph though the VTEC had me
NewNiceMrMe
That would surely have to be a major remap. Other than a major BHP advantage the Chavmobile also has a significant weight advantage.
Mollox
You should have seen fatcat's A3 1.9TDi Quattro with the remap
DHA
Quicker than some S3s
alanm73
Well i thought my A3 TDI had been blessed by the BHP gods by this thing went, Either the CTR was in the wrong gear and my MY TDI is well slow or the Golf had a serious re-map going on!!!!!! Or 4 4Motion is gods gift!!!
Nelson_R32
Depends really, my Cupra TDi was 160bhp standard and with REVO was running 203bhp and 320 lbs/ft; it also weighed only 1200kgs and had a FMIC (so little heat soak) The Golf PD150 can run 190bhp remapped, also weighs 1200kgs and also has a FMIC. If it had been breathed on by Allard Tuning it would've easily blown the CTR away.
MattR32
Actually the 150PD Golf weighs in at a rather hefty 1442kg not 1200kg. Conversely my Astra ESTATE weighs 1290kg, hence it being faster with the same power.
