UBM
Some nice galvanised mild steel mesh behind the fog grills to stop all the feckin stones and poo going into the air ducts! Will post some pics - should be "subtle" but racy, without looking too chav. It will go behind the black plastic fog grills, so you won't really see it, but a bit more bling on the front for good measure!
kite
What will you fix it to ?

UBM
[ QUOTE ] What will you fix it to ? [/ QUOTE ] Fix it to the fog grills. Probably use self-tappers from the back of the fog grill to hold it in place.

kite
As I have a B6 could I put the mesh behind the lower centre grill ?
Nelson_R32
Do you really need it though? The stones would've hit the plastic before it hit the interiors slowing them down by quite a rate, the interiors are quite well tucked in. If you know what I mean
UBM
You could - I'm only doing the foglight grills as they pick up poo loads stones at the moment. they are a bit too open! You could do the lower grill, but what about you fog grills too?

And it'll look different!

Cameo
[ QUOTE ] And it'll look different! [/ QUOTE ] Is that different in a Saxo/Nova way With all the salt on the road I'd be wary of such a mod as the metal could look pretty quickly. Saying that it sounds like a mod Darkside would like
UBM
I'll bet you a penny you won't notice it hardly. I may even paint it black! It is galvanized to inhibit corrosion from road salt and water, but you get a nice big sheet to cut to size for under a tenner. So, when it gets filthy, throw em away and cut some more out! Cameo
[ QUOTE ] That's why I'm trying to keep busy now.... [/ QUOTE ] Are you trying to say that Mrs UBM hasn't got a list of things for you to do? For example: 1, clear the spare room in preparation for a nursery 2, decorate the nursery 3, get a new carpet for the nursery 4, get some new curtains for the nursary 5, choose and buy a pram 6, choose and buy a crib 7, choose and buy a cot 8, choose and buy a car seat 9, decide what nappies to get 10, clear all rooms in the house so they're baby safe 11, buy a baby monitor 12, buy a cage (sorry "play-pen"- to protect my AV equipment) etc, etc. Our first one is also due in April so I'm just quoting from my list....and as yet I haven't done any of them
