mccombie_5
Yeah, the registration is only four characters, I paid "handsomely" shall we say. The wife's been driving it, not me, but then again, one trip accross our driveway at the moment and the entire car is black, although i will admit the exhausts are a bit mingin'. I waited just over 8 weeks. The boy isn't in yet, I'm not sure I like this girfriend of his having a car!
Wallachie
McCombie - I've heard that the colour display on the dash of the new Jag is a weird green colour and that the brightness can't be adjusted. Is that the same on the XJR?
RedRobin
Hmmm....Sorry, mate - I don't much like Jags but I don't much like any big limousines unless I'm being chauffered by a professional. Happy to hear your health is better....People wondered what had happened to you so suddenly.
drpellypo
Good to have you back, Mac. I'm not a jag fan either, but I doubt very much you are a passat fan, so one all there!

I hope you are feeling better after your stint in hospital, hope it wasn't anything too debilitating. Anyway, how about some pics of your entire fleet of cars? I can assure you as a fellow petrolhead if they are posted they will receive the just attention and probable adoration they deserve, because I have seen your listing of current cars on the Car Talk Canada forums and frankly I envy your ability to own such a selection of vehicles. drpellypo
[ QUOTE ] I haven't been too well of late, spent some time in hospital, my wife collected the Jaguar on friday, and it looks immense! Quick snap my son took with the mobile! [/ QUOTE ] Typical Jag driver... not parking in between the lines..
jimdiesel
Lovely car. Can I ask what possesed you to buy a second set of winter wheels, when you have a Range Rover and a 4 Motion Footon at your disposal.

She doesn't want her Sepang wheels ruined, and we all know the most kerbing takes places in winter when some cars drift into them. She refuses to drive the Range Rover. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I don't think a few pics of cars with registration numbers blanked out is going to do much harm somehow! Anyway, can I ask which dealer you bought it from? I've been invited to a few XK launch events (with 6 series customers being targetted by them) and it's always useful to know about customer service, your opinions in general on the service you received etc. I won't be buying an XK, but it's nice to know anyway...just in case! garcon magnifique
Excellent review of the new XK in this month's EVO. They like it. Alot. Very different to the outgoing model.
Alastair_A3
I agree with chris, the XK is nice but i cant see it been much of a drivers car. This months evo has got the 997 Turbo in now thats a car!
garcon magnifique
On the contrary Alistair, EVO think it IS a driver's car - much more so than the last model. For me, the trouble with it is that puts it firmly in 911 territory. And there's only one winner there.
NewNiceMrMe
I've yet to open Evo (arrived today) but I'll have to check both of those reviews it. Won't be buying either though!
Alastair_A3
Hehe i havent read it yet, just giving my view on Jags, just not my thing thats all. Also the 997 Turbo will probably be in the 90k bracket, rather expensive.

Milo
I think I'm going to feel like a bit of a pauper on Sunday's meet. Sandwiched in a convoy between MrMe's 6 and Mccombie's XJR Bet mine will be the cleanest though I know this is the wrong thread for this but is everyone still on for Sunday? Chris? Mccombie? Jimdiesel?
