JasonP
As I was leaving the gym on Sat morning (how sad am I!!!), I watched as a M3 had trouble getting out of the car park.It was a very cold morning, -4 on my DIS and there is a real uphill slope to get out of the car park and you have to stop to enter a code to raise the barrier. After about 10 mins the M3 gave up and reversed back down to reception to get the maintenance team to salt the road. In between my fit of giggles, I did shout out to him to watch how its done, drove up to the barrier, put the code in and drove off!!!

Audidude
Chalk and cheese. Only areas where the M3 beats S4 is steering feedback/feel and RWD handling balance. Ultimately the M3 provides the driver with a more direct driving experience (call it "fun factor" or EVOness if you wish) but realistically the only areas you will exploit this difference significantly without being illegal would be on the track. For understated class, overall quality (not to be confused with reliability - refer Lexus if you want that), AWD safety/competence, and ultimate ownership pleasure the S4 wins hands down. The absence of the blue and white propeller is the icing on the cake Cheers

P_G
Oh dear, you's wouldn't let it lie, would you?? You could of, but wouldn't. M3 vs S4, each to their own.

Alastair_A3
I like both of them, my mate has just bought an 04 M3 and it is fantastic! However, given the choice it would probably be an S4
