archway
Well, my 3 year VW maintenance agreement is up at the end of March and I will be at about the contracted 18,000 miles. Before it runs out I want a set of tyres BUT at 16,500 miles now they arent hugely worn . Question for those who have had their tyres done under this agreement - how does it work? who approves it? can I wangle tyres of my choice (even if I have to add a few extra ££ ? shark_90
In my experience of leases you can usually get the tyres you want, but if they've got more than 2mm of tread it's highly unlikely they'll change them. Turn your ESP off and go and find a quiet car park
Mook
You are totally within your rights under the agreement to get the tyres changed. You do this at your VW dealer only. From another thread posted yesterday, VW are issuing Continental tyres at the minute. You may be able to negotiate having another brand put on your car (e.g. Michelin PS2s) but this would normally be down to the service manager. Cattlerustler
I had the same with mine, argued with me for a while as I wanted Pirreli P-Zero Rosso's, got my way in the end now on my second replacement set of tyres and I've done 23K miles and I will have another set before my agreement runs out
