allanon_1980
Just noticed over the last few days that sometimes when I start up my car the EPC warning light stays on. What does this mean and is it serious ? I know I could check the manual but doesnt tell much !!
stevie_d
Send it into get checked by the dealer. Does the ABS light also come on? If so an ABS sensor may have fallen off. Jack your car up and have a look around, it's just a lead that goes into the pad (not the fluid cable, don't touch that!). Please remember to use axel stands I'm assuming that EPC is the traction/stability control?
TwoSheds
If you're saying the light stays on permanently once you start up then I would take it to the dealer straight away to be checked out. It will as you probably know stay on for a few seconds during ignition switch on as part of lamp function test. I think EPC is part of the engine management system, emissions etc.
allanon_1980
sometimes when I start it up it stays on. So I just turn off the car and back on again and it disappears !!!! More annoying than anything else !!! I wonder would it have anything got to do with the fact that I have a Milltek fitted
Snoopy
EPC Is the Electronic accelerator Pedal Control It could be a problem with the 'switch' on the throttle pedal. Best to take it too the dealer and/or check the conection yourself.
